A Letter from Monsignor Desmond O’Connor
about Electronic Giving

In the years that I have been here at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha I have been overwhelmed with the generous way our parishioners respond in so many ways to the needs of our parish and I want to thank you who have given so freely of your time and talents.

In January of 2010, with the encouragement of the Archdiocese of New York and in keeping with the technological advances of our society, we made electronic giving available to parishioners. The success rate at our parish was unprecedented in the Archdiocese. We are now receiving 25% or our donations via electronic giving. This is a reflection of the technologically savvy parishioners that comprise this parish.

The electronic giving endeavor, known as Parish Pay, is important for a parish such as ours that has been blessed with such beautiful buildings and grounds; we now have the responsibility to take care of what has been given to us. Electronic giving makes it easier for the parish to meet its financial responsibilities because it provides a regular stream of income regardless of the season of the year. It also reduces the paperwork that is processed in our office.

This program has already been extremely well received by many members of our parish and I hope you will consider enrolling.
